Be honest: given the level of negativity that every new development, good or bad, is met with, what percentage of the people who are still upset about Swosh do you think would be accepting of a new game regardless of what was in it? This is a list of Pokemon which appear in The Crown Tundra DLC expansion. After the dlc I’ll probably by itching to start one of those. So, I accept that you're 'baffled' by this - but the reality is that many people do genuinely enjoy these games, whether you understand it or not. You still haven’t answered my question regarding what precisely you expect them to do now that they realistically could do now; you keep talking about what they could have done differently in the past - and maybe that has some degree of merit, but if there’s nothing they could realistically do now to satisfy people then I fail to see what it accomplishes to continually bring up all the things that went wrong in the past. If that’s the case, I fail to see what the point is in people (not just you; speaking more broadly here) continuing to bring this up both on every article about Pokémon and on many unrelated articles; that’s not the kind of thing many people would do without some sort of deep-seated resentment or anger. I still have to buy the pass It sucks I have to pay even more money for pokemon that should have been in the game, I think I may pick it up on sale I just don't have the money right now but I'm going to get it at some point. In regards to everyone using trading between previous generations in order to get all the pokemon as an argument, this isn't even close to the same thing. It'll also add Dynamax Adventures, a new co-op mode that'll let teams of four players explore Pokemon dens of the Galar region. 35, Review: Pokémon Sword And Shield - A Solid Start To Gen 8 On Switch, Despite The Hate, Guide Pokémon Sword And Shield - All Ash’s Pikachu Codes, News Pokémon HOME Update Out Now, Adds Crown Tundra DLC Compatibility, News Early Build Of Pokémon Sword Allegedly Leaked Online, News New Pokémon Video Series Explores The UK Areas That Inspired Sword And Shield's Galar Region, News Sword And Shield's Crown Tundra Galarian Star Tournament Is The Game's "Hardest Challenge". @Kalmaro, so I repeat my question: What precisely would you have them do right now? [I SAID I WAS SIGNING OFF - AND I WAS - BUT DIRECT MENTIONS GO INTO MY EMAIL SO I CAN'T EXACTLY AVOID SEEING THEM]. @Tourtus I know but I just kinda feel left out if I don't have the dlc. I have people on my friend list (not even people I met through Pokemon) who have over 1,000 hours. If they were to somehow find a time warp that could cut the normal dev time of a full new game from 2-ish years to just under a year, how many people do you think would accept it and buy it regardless of what was in it? Discussion threads can be closed at any time at our discretion. Now, regardless of sales numbers, I feel it's safe to say that nobody would put that much time into a game if they did not actually, genuinely enjoy it. @Snatcher You can trade with other players to get the cut pokémon but in my opinion that is tedious but it's still possible to get some without buying the DLC. @TexanSansei You can make multiple files with one game card/digital copy? Here’s a full list of all the returning Pokemon we know of so far. As previously noted, this extra content includes a new adventure, the chance to catch legendary pocket monsters from past generations, new Pokémon, a new Galarian Star Tournament, a new way to battle and much more. @Kalmaro, I’m just wondering why if, as you (and, presumably, others) claim, you’re not mad and this is not still eating at you, then how come it has to be brought up on every single article about the games and many not about the games? The Pokemon Company has always been more about expanded full game re-releases than downloadable extras, but for the first time with Pokemon Sword & Shield a main pokemon series title is getting significant downloadable content in the form of a full expansion pass that players can now buy. If you click on one and make a purchase we may receive a small commission. Pretty please? For everyone crying about missing PM did you have issue with Gen 3 what required R/S, Emerald and Fire Red/Leaf Green if you wanted to have them all. I remember them saying at one time that Pokémon were cut to improve animations. And yeah, I'm not mad at all, the fact that this happened like, a year ago doesn't mean I suddenly will change my mind, they still did wrong. Only X/Y have been so lacking in endgame content as Sw/Sh was. If not, and if people simply prefer to support it no matter how bland and cheap their games become, then I guess that I might walk away from the franchise after all of these years. They could also just refund DLC purchases and give the DLC for free, that would be amazing. All Confirmed Returning Pokemon Returning Pokemon in the Sword & Shield DLC Expansion Pass Here's all the returning Pokemon you can expect to find in the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs, which release in June … Nice. Treat the DLC as the 3rd game because its exactly that but cheaper and all new content. Pokemon Sword and Shield expanded Thursday, with the release of the Nintendo Switch adventure's Crown Tundra downloadable content (DLC). Over 200 Pokemon from previous generations left out of the original Sword and Shield, along with brand new Legendary Pokemon, will be making an appearance. For more information, go here. That would have been amazing if true, the animations in Pokémon have been stiff for a while. But I have got literally hundreds of hours of enjoyment out of Sword - a feat rivaled by only two or three other Switch games and only a handful of games in the past 5 years - so they also aren't the unplayable monstrosities that so many people like to complain they are. Each part of the DLC brings with it a variety of new features and the like – and that includes all-new Pokemon and returning Pokemon that weren’t originally featured in the Galar Pokedex as it released in the main version of Sword & Shield. @WallyWest I get that you had to buy another cartridge to get other Pokémon, the only reason I was never upself then was because Ru/Sa was such a large jump that it made sense that it wasn't a big deal not everything was brought over. Gamefreak have been doing this since Gen 2, its funny how people are more happy to pay full price for another game rather buying DLC what's 100% new content and is cheaper then a full game. These Pokémon weren't in Pokémon Sword & Shield originally but are being added in conjunction with the Expansion Pass. After months of controversy, a bunch of the national Pokedex Pokemon absent from Sword & Shield are back in the latest DLC.
