However, it was so poorly pulled off. I tend to see myself as having a personal connection with the Finnish Operatic Metal group Nightwish. I like Nightwish as much as the next 90's chick who had her emo phase growing up but other reviewers who said the music used felt overly "self-indulgent" were not lying. Imaginaerum tells the story of an elderly composer, Tom, who suffers from severe dementia. This is an excellent movie in my opinion. I recommend it to anyone who loves Nightwish! Like, take a musical like 'Repo! Very dark themes. I gave it all I could for 25 minutes and realized it just wasn't paying me anything back for my investment. I think it is best for adults ( and only for children 16 or older). I know it is a dark and kind of horrifying scene, but it just takes your breathe away because it represents that song so well. First off, this is a full length film (85 minutes) with musical accompaniment so those expecting a collection of videos to the music will be disappointed. Coming Soon.
