And the film is so stupid there is no comedy at all , i wish they gave the role to another actress who can actually act , maybe it will be better movie if they didnt chose her . Sure, Jai Mummy Di remains faithful to the ongoing trend of providing laughs at the oddest of things, but it's more of a masala fare that's reminiscent of the 1980s cinema. Friends-turned-foes Laali Khurrana (Supriya Pathak) and Pinky Bhalla (Poonam Dhillon) are next-door neighbours who cannot see eye-to-eye. The screenplay tries to pack too much stuff, but how everything is spread out on the table makes you squirm in your seat. Sunny Singh's acting is nothing different from his Pyaar Ka Punchnama series stint. Well it's not just mommies, this Sunny Singh-Sonnalli Seygall starrer barely has enough elements to make it likable for the rest of us as well. The same has happened in director Navjot Gulati's 'Jai Mummy Di.' While Sonnalli Seygall looks glossy on the big screen, the girl still has to hone her acting skills. Seriously, one wonders after a point, what was the writer/director trying to say? Sunny & Sonnalli are a fresh love pair soothing to your eyes!
