Samui Song is a Thai film noir from Pen-ek Ratanaruang, the director of Last Life in the Universe, Invisible Waves, Ploy, and Headshot. She is married to a wealthy Frenchman, Jerome (Stephane Sednaoui), who is a devoted follower of Buddhakaya, a strange cult led … Well directed, well narrated and well performed, “Samui Song” is a bet worth seeing and worth contemplating.

It's a whole new world. The film maintains this tense and dark atmosphere throughout its duration, and this is something that keeps the viewer in suspense and wonder , also thanks to the fantastic cinematography.

It is a very visual and attractive film, and along with a very interesting plot results in a great overall package. The director decides to follow the footsteps of the Neo-Noir style, and on this occasion take it to a more classic level.
